Registration Information

There are several ways to register for courses at JJC – in person, telephone, during a group advising session (required by new full-time students), or MyJJC. You can register for Fall, Spring or Summer.

Special Hours

  • 2019 extended hours will be in effect for the week of January 7 & January 14. Our office hours during these dates will be: 
    • Monday to Thursday: 7:30 a.m. – 7:30 p.m.
    • Friday: 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
  • Closed on January 21 in observance of Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday

General Registration | Register Now for Spring 2019

General Registration is for students who are attending JJC for the first time, who are not currently enrolled but have previously attended JJC and are resuming studies and for students who are transferring from another college or university.

Important Reminder: Once you have registered for your classes you will need to pay for them before the deadlines. View the Payment Information page, for the semester in which you are enrolled, for more information.

Every class has its own refund and drop date. Please visit the refund policy page for more information on withdrawal, refunds and appeals.

General Registration | Summer 2019

  • Begins at 12:01 a.m., Monday, March 18, 2019 ( through MyJJC only)
  • Beginning Monday, March 18, at 8:00am, you can register through MyJJC, telephone, or in-person.
  • Session 1, 6-weeks begins: Monday, May 20, 2019
  • Session 2, 8-weeks begins: Monday June 3, 2019
  • Session 3, 6-weeks begins: Monday July 1, 2019

How to Register

Learn about the different methods of registration at Joliet Junior College.

  • Online Registration

    Current students can register online by accessing MyJJC.  In the Self Service menu, click on “Students” and the “Register and View Schedule”. It is here that you can search for open sections of courses and register for the courses you need. 

    For new students, please visit the Admissions page for information on applying, new student orientation (NSO), placement testing and registration.

  • Group Advising Registration

    Group advising is required of all new full-time students. It is also highly recommended for new part time students. To schedule a group advising session, see the new students page. You must bring the following to the session:

    • A copy of your Placement Test results
    • Your JJC username and password (see the password help page if you need this information)
    • The certificate verifying your reservation for the group session
    • A photo ID in order to obtain your JJC student ID
    • A copy of your high school transcripts (if registering for a college-level math course)

    Please plan to remain for at least 2-1/2 hours to complete the entire group process.

  • In-Person Registration

    Available to returning students (full and part time) and new part-time students. In-person registration is available at the following locations:

    Please note that all campuses will be closed on Wednesday, January 9 from 9am - 11am.
