Welcome
Student Accommodations and Resources (STAR) is the office designated by the college to support students who have documented disabilities under the Americans with Disabilities Act and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act. StAR arranges accommodations for eligible students, and assists college administration, faculty, and staff to provide required accommodations. Please read the following section on eligibility and refer to the link on documentation policy found on this page. We encourage you to contact the StAR Office if you have any questions or if you feel that you have the necessary documentation in order to qualify for accommodations.
Students who wish to apply for accommodations through the StAR Department under the Americans with Disabilities Act or Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act must contact the StAR office and request an INTAKE APPOINTMENT at which time they are prepared to provide the necessary documentation of their disability. IEPs are only one part of the documentation. Kindly see our documentation policy.
As it can take several weeks to get on the schedule, it is highly recommended that you contact the office early in the process. (Please see the New StAR Student Checklist.)
