Full job description
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Teacher's Assistant to join our team and support students from Early Childhood (EC) through 4th grade in their educational journey. This position offers a rewarding opportunity to work closely with classroom teachers and make a positive impact on the academic and social-emotional development of students.

Responsibilities:

Assist classroom teachers in implementing instructional activities and lessons that are developmentally appropriate and aligned with curriculum standards.
Provide individualized support to students with diverse learning needs, including those with disabilities, English language learners, and students at risk of academic challenges.
Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student engagement, collaboration, and mutual respect.
Supervise students during instructional time, transitions, lunch, recess, and other school-related activities to ensure a safe and supportive learning environment.
Assist with classroom management strategies, behavior reinforcement, and positive reinforcement techniques to promote student success.
Support students with personal care needs, including toileting, feeding, and other activities of daily living, as needed.
Collaborate with classroom teachers, special education staff, and other professionals to implement accommodations and modifications for students with disabilities.
Assist in the preparation and organization of instructional materials, classroom resources, and learning centers to enhance student learning experiences.
Communicate regularly with classroom teachers, parents/guardians, and other team members to share student progress, concerns, and successes.
Participate in professional development opportunities and training sessions to enhance knowledge and skills related to supporting student learning and development.
Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent (Associate's degree or coursework in education or related field preferred).
Experience working with children in an educational or childcare setting, preferably in early childhood or elementary grades.
Knowledge of child development principles, instructional strategies, and behavior management techniques.
Ability to establish positive relationships with students, parents/guardians, and colleagues.
Strong communication, organization, and multitasking skills.
Flexibility, adaptability, and a willingness to collaborate as part of a team.
Commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment where all students can thrive

Education:

High school or equivalent (Required)
License/Certification:

Paraprofessional Certification (Preferred)
