Who Can Attend JJC?
JJC maintains an
“open door” admissions policy.
You are eligible for admission if you are:
A high school graduate or have a G.E.D. certificate.
18 years of age or older
Transferring from another college or university and you meet one of the above criteria
An
Application for
Admission must be completed by
all Applicants. Applicants who intend to earn a degree/certificate and/or
transfer to a four-year university must submit copies of their high
school transcripts or G.E.D. Certificates.

ADVANCE STANDING MAY BE
AVAILABLE A student who has upgraded his high school curriculum to include
science and math classes with college-level content may be awarded
college credit or advanced standing. Consult the JJC Catalog or Student
Handbook & Calendar.
DO YOU QUALIFY FOR A “NEW START” AT JJC? JJC affords returning adult students a one-time opportunity to
correct past poor academic performances in order to reach educational
goals. A student must complete the “New Start” Application and on-line
quiz before meeting with a JJC counselor. Certain stipulations must be

Non-high school
graduates under age 18: Students
17 years of age or younger may be eligible to enroll in credit classes.
Interested students should confer with the Admissions Office (J-1005) to
pick up an “Early Entry” application.
