Welding Technology (WLDG)

Industrial Welding student in class

The JJC Welding Technology Program can prepare you for a good paying job in the construction of industry. Manpower needs surveys have indicated a continuing demand for trained welders in JJC’s district.

Course work is offered at convenient class times at the new state-of-the-art welding facility located on the Main Campus.

Class schedules are planned so that you may attend classes at your convenience even if you are employed. Women, particularly, are encouraged to investigate the growing market for female welders. Probably no other "non-traditional" job offers greater rewards in today's changing social structure than a career in welding.

New students are encouraged to purchase a Welding Kit from the JJC Bookstore and the 4th Edition of the Welding Skills Textbook.

Remember only 100% cotton clothing and leather work boots are the safe attire for welding in the lab.
