Help Fight Hunger

Empty Bowls is an international project to fight hunger, personalized by artists and art organizations on a community level.

At Joliet Junior College, Empty Bowls is a collaborative project where community members can come together to share a meal and support students in need.

Your donation of $10 will provide you the opportunity to pick a beautiful handmade bowl, as well as a simple meal of soup, bread, and drink.

  • Luncheon Date:  Tuesday, April 30th
  • Event Time:  11am-1pm
  • Location:  Main Campus, Lower Level J
  • Cost:   Minimum donation $10.00

All proceeds go to JJC students for food insecurities through the JJC Foundation Student Emergency Fund.

JJC potters, including JJC students and employees, have donated their time to make bowls to make this event possible! Any JJC community member can participate in this event by making a bowl in the Fine Arts Department, volunteering to serve soup, making a general donation or simply joining us for lunch!

Hosted By: JJC Fine Arts Department, Office of Student Activities, Collegiate Club Council, Culinary Arts Department, and JJC Foundation
