The CCC has a new public relations officer, Jenny Vargas. I had a chance to sit down with her and chat about her lifestyle and how it was to be in the CCC.
Blazer: What are you majoring in?
Vargas: I’m getting a Bachelor’s in Biology and then going on to get a Master’s in Medical Sonography.
Blazer: How has attending JJC changed you?
Vargas: It changed me, because I’ve become more involved with the community.
Blazer: How does it feel to be a public relations officer for the Collegiate Club Council?
Vargas: It’s a good opportunity to work with a lot of people and build on literature skills.
Blazer: What is the best thing you have accomplished so far?
Vargas: The best thing I accomplished this year is being Vice President of Student United Way at Joliet Junior College.
Blazer: What other clubs are you involved in?
Vargas: Student United Way.
Blazer: What are your hobbies?
Vargas: Listening to music and volunteering for the community.
Blazer: What made you decide to join the CCC?
Vargas: I already worked for Amy Sims [adviser of Student United Way], which gave me experience with the clubs.
Blazer: What is your main job with the CCC?
Vargas: My main job with the CCC is to announce monthly JJC events.
