The 2009 season will be Gino Di Nardo’s fifth year with Joliet Junior College, but his second year as Head Women's Soccer Coach. He was an assistant coach for the men's soccer team during 2006 and 2007 where they won back to back Region IV Championships and advanced to the District B Tournament.
During the 2008 season, Coach Di Nardo led his team to a 10-7-1 record where they earned the N4C conference championship, and were the Region IV championship runners-up.
Gino has coached and still coaches at the youth club level for the past twelve years. He holds a national D license from USSF, is a member of the ICA, and a certified keeper coach. He has coached girls soccer at Joliet Catholic Academy during the spring the past two years.
Gino also is a USSF certified soccer referee and IHSA referee and coaches U16 Azzurri Primavera soccer club from Joliet, playing at GCSL.
Di Nardo came to the U.S. from Italy as a teenager where he played club soccer in the Series C2, he then followed a seven year stint playing club soccer in Illinois for the N.S.L.
Coach Di Nardo dedicates most of his free time in coaching and refereeing, while developing young talent from this area. He also enjoys traveling to Italy. He is married and has three children.
Shannon Mladucky
Assistant Women's Soccer Coach
The 2009 season will be Shannon Mladucky's second with the Joliet Junior College women's soccer program.
Shannon was a four year regular on the Plainfield South High School soccer team. She earned all-conference and all-state honors her junior and senior years. She then continued on to Carthage College where she played two years on the varsity traveling soccer team.
She participates in various volunteer activities including the Walk for Autism, working pre-school events, and fundraising for charities. Shannon resides in Joliet, IL.
