Lady Wolves fall in season opener
The Joliet Junior College women's basketball team was defeated by Illinois Central College in the season opener by a score of 85-67. Keairra Collins led the Lady Wolves with 18 points and 8 rebounds followed by Celestra Warren with 16 points and 8 rebounds. Brianna Marble had a team-high 10 rebounds. "This was a great test right out of the gate," Head Coach Shaun Sanderson said. "We kept it close through the first half, but ran out of steam towards the end of the game." The Joliet Junior College women's basketball team dropped a 97-54 decision to Iowa Central Community College. Celestra Warren led the Lady Wolves with a double-double of 21 points and 10 rebounds. The Joliet Junior College women's basketball team earned their first victory of the season with a 69-59 victory over Kennedy-King College. Keairra Collins led the way with 25 points including five 3-point shots. Celestra Warren scored 14 points and had 6 rebounds, while Adjoa Matthews earned 7 points, 5 rebounds, and 3 assists.
