Wills receives NJCAA Division III Player of the Week
Sophomore Laura Wills has been named NJCAA Division III Volleyball Player of the Week. The 6'0", middle blocker made her presence felt at the net in four victories last week. Despite averaging 9.5 kills per match, Wills’ defense is what earned her national recognition. The sophomore had 10 blocks and nine digs in a five-set win over Millikin University JV. On the week, Wills averaged 6.5 blocks and 9.2 digs per match.

Lady Wolves receive post-season honors
Three members of the Joliet Junior College Lady Wolves volleyball team have received post-season honors from the 2011 season. The sophomore trio of Alexis Nelson, Mallory Frankovich, and Laura Wills helped guide JJC to a 32-11 overall record this past season. JJC was also named N4C Conference Champions with their 11-1 conference record. Head Coach LaKisha Cameron was named N4C Conference Coach of the Year. Alexis Nelson has been named as an NJCAA Division III 1st team All-American, as well as a Region IV All-Region and N4C 1st team All-Conference selection. Nelson finished the seasons with 366 kills, 497 digs, and 56 aces. Mallory Frankovich earned Region IV All-Region, N4C 1st team All-Conference, and Region IV All-Tournament accolades. Frankovich totaled 413 kills, 770 digs, and 59 aces during her final season at JJC. Laura Wills has been named to the N4C All-Conference 2nd team. The all-around, middle hitter posted 269 kills, 212 digs, 198 blocks, and 68 aces.
