Heartland tops Wolves in home opener

The Joliet Junior College men's soccer team was defeated by Heartland Community College by a score of 3-1. Luis Perez scored in the 35th minute. Cesar Marquez and Ramiro Ayala combined for seven saves in the contest. "Heartland is a very good program," Head Coach Cris Trillo said. "We played well, but fatigue set in late in the second half for us." JJC (0-1 overall) travels to Kennedy-King College on Tuesday, August 26, 2014. Game time is 4:00 pm.

Kennedy-King shuts out Wolves

The JJC men's soccer team dropped a 3-0 decision to Kennedy-King College. Goalkeeper Ramiro Ayala had 8 saves in the contest. "We need to improve our conditioning and communication on the field," Head Coach Cris Trillo said. "These non-conference games are teaching us valuable lessons." JJC (0-2 overall) hosts Prairie State College on Friday, August 29, 2014. Game time is 4:00 pm.

Prairie State edges out Joliet

The Joliet Junior College men's soccer team was defeated by Prairie State College by a score of 2-1. Sophomore Kyle Hallerberg scored in the 67th minute for the Wolves. He was assisted by Luis Perez. Ramiro Ayala had 6 saves at goal. "It is unfortunate to lose a game with 5 minutes left but we played a great second half," Head Coach Cris Trillo said. "Our players are starting to realize what is expected from them. We need to build on this momentum going into our first conference game." JJC (0-3 overall) travels to N4C conference opponent Rock Valley College on Wednesday, September 3, 2014. Rock Valley tops JJC Wolves

The JJC men's soccer team dropped a 1-0 decision to N4C conference opponent Rock Valley College. Goakeeper Ramiro Ayala had 5 saves in the contest. "This is a disappointing loss to a conference opponent," Head Coach Cris Trillo said. "The team lacked the energy and determination needed to beat a well-organized team." JJC (0-4 overall, 0-1 N4C) hosts N4C conference opponent Milwaukee Area Technical College on Monday, September 8, 2014. Game time is 4:00 pm.

Wolves score big against Milwaukee

The JJC men's soccer team earned their first victory of the season with an 8-0 win over N4C conference opponent Milwaukee Area Technical College. Nestor Rodriguez scored 3 goals for the Wolves, as Leatile Masula had 2 goals and 3 assists. Angel Sanchez, Kyle Hallerberg, and Armando Alvarado all had one goal each. Hallerberg, Gerardo Cahue, and Marco Romero earned one assist. "This was a much needed victory against a conference rival," Head Coach Cris Trillo said. "This should give us a little more confidence that we've lacked in previous games." JJC (1-4 overall, 1-1 N4C) travels to N4C conference opponent Harper College on Monday, September 15, 2014. JJC earns victory against Harper

The Joliet Junior College men's soccer team earned a victory over N4C conference opponent Harper College by a forfeit. The game ended in a 1-1 tie, but due to Harper playing an ineligible player the Wolves got the win. Sophomore Leatile Masula scored a goal in the 47th minute on a penalty kick. Goalkeeper Ramiro Ayala had 4 saves in the contest. "We played well at times but also committed a few mistakes," Head Coach Cris Trillo stated. "Overall I was satisfied with the effort of all the players." JJC (2-4 overall, 2-1 N4C) travels to N4C conference opponent Madison College on Wednesday, September 17, 2014. Game time is 4:00 pm.

Wolves tie at Madison College

The JJC men's soccer team game at N4C conference opponent Madison College ended in a 1-1 tie after two overtimes. Leatile Masula scored a goal in the 33rd minute assisted by Armando Alvarado. Ramiro Ayala earned 8 saves at goal for the Wolves. "Both teams missed good chances to score and come up with a win," Head Coach Cris Trillo said. "We still need to improve our offense and limit the defensive mistakes." JJC (2-4-1 overall, 2-1-1 N4C) hosts N4C conference opponent Triton College on Friday, September 19, 2014. Game time is 4:00 pm.
