JJC wins by forfeit against Union Prep

The JJC football team was awarded a forfeit win against Union Christian Prep Academy out of Cincinnati, OH this past weekend. Union Prep was a no show for Saturday night's game at Joliet Memorial Stadium. At 6:04 pm, 4 minutes after the scheduled kickoff, the officiating crew awarded JJC a forfeit victory. This victory pushes the Wolves record to 4-2 overall, but could hurt JJC's chances of qualifying for postseason play. The NJCAA uses a points system to pick at-large qualifers for the playoffs. And a forfeit win is worth only one point, less than that of a normal victory. JJC will host Midwest Football Conference opponent Grand Rapids Community College on Saturday, October 10, 2009. Game time is 1:00 pm.
