Governors State University: Latino Achievement Scholarship and Rey B. Gonzalez Scholarship
The Latino Achievement and Rey B. Gonzalez Scholarship Programs are competitive scholarship programs that are open to Governors State University students who meet the criteria. Scholarship awards cover full tuition for a maximum of six semesters that must be taken within seven consecutive semesters. The deadline for submitting applications for the Fall Semester is 7/15/10 and Spring Semester is 11/15/10. (New scholarships will not be awarded for the Summer Semester although previously awarded scholarships can be used during the Summer Semester.)

Bradley University: The Presidents' Partnership Scholarship
To be eligible for the Presidents' Partnership Scholarship students must transfer directly from JJC, and have a 3.23 or higher cumulative GPA with a minimum of 30 transferable hours from Joliet Junior College prior to enrolling at Bradley University.

DePaul University
Transfer Scholarship
Awards range from $2,000 to $4,000*
The Transfer Scholarship is awarded to admitted students who have attended another college and will have a 3.5 cumulative GPA in addition to completing 30 semester (44 quarter) hours of transferable college credit at the time the recipient enrolls at DePaul.
Note: At least 15 semester (22 quarter) hours must be posted to your transcript when you submit an application for the Transfer Scholarship.
Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship
Awards range from $5,000 to $7,000*
The Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship is awarded to members of Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society who have attended another college and will have a 3.5 cumulative grade point average in addition to completing 30 semester (44 quarter) hours of transferable college credit at the time the recipients enroll at DePaul.
Note: At least 15 semester (22 quarter) hours must be posted to your transcript when you submit an application for the Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship.

To be considered for an academic transfer scholarship at DePaul, you must:
· Be a new transfer student for the fall, winter or spring quarter.
· Have a 3.5 cumulative grade point average (GPA) in all prior college course work.
· Have 15 semester (22 quarter) hours of credit completed at another college or university at the time you submit the application for admission to DePaul.
· If applying for the Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship, be able to verify current membership in Phi Theta Kappa.
· Submit the Transfer Scholarship Application along with a personal statement by the following deadlines:
o Fall Quarter Applicants: June 1
o Winter Quarter Applicants: November 1
o Spring Quarter Applicants: February 1
Please also note that students are eligible for only one scholarship.

Illinois Future Teachers Corps (IFTC) Program
If you plan to be a preschool, elementary or secondary school teacher who wants to teach in Illinois you may be eligible for the Illinois Future Teacher Corps (IFTC) Program.

Minority Teachers of Illinois (MTI) Scholarship Program
If you plan to become a preschool, elementary or secondary school teacher and are of African American/Black, Hispanic American, Asian American or Native American origin, you may qualify for up to $5,000 per year as part of the Minority Teachers of Illinois (MTI) Scholarship Program to pay for tuition, fees and room and board, or commuter allowances, if applicable. This scholarship may be received for a maximum of eight semesters or twelve quarters.

Private Illinois Colleges and Universities (PICU) Scholarship
PICU will grant two scholarships per term-one $1000 and one $500 award to community college transfer students looking to achieve their educational goals at one of our member institutions.
To be eligible:
1. Be currently enrolled in an Illinois community college.
2. Complete a minimum of 30 credit hours at a community college.
3. Submit an application for admissions to one of the 48 PICU member colleges or universities.
4. Have a 3.0/4.0 Cumulative GPA or greater.
For students transferring Fall 2010, the deadline to apply is May 1, 2010. For students transferring in Spring 2011, the deadline is November 1, 2010.
