Now on display in the JJC library:
Mexican Chicago, a photographic traveling exhibition that provides a historical overview of 100 years of Mexican immigration to the area. The growth of the Mexican population is one of the fastest demographic changes in U.S. history. Over 1.4 million Mexicans now live in metropolitan Chicago. This exhibit, created by the National Museum of Mexican Art, is designed to share the history of the Mexican experience in Chicago.
With the help of the Native American Club and students in the Native American studies class the library has created a display of materials to help celebrate Native American Heritage month.
Do you remember your favorite children's book? Stop by the library and take a look at our display showcasing our Children's collection. We have materials ranging from The Cat in the Hat to Harry Potter.
Database Updates:
Infotrac now has sample MLA citations (7th edition)
EBSCO is host to a new database entitled: Consumer Health Complete. This new database includes videoclips, full text medical dictionaries and illustrations.
