Transferring from another college to JJC? 
Procedure for Reverse Transfer Students to Register for Mathematics Classes For those students satisfying placement exams and prerequisites at other Colleges. 

If you are a new student transferring from another college to JJC, the following steps will assist you.
 

1. Complete JJC Application for Admission.

2. Request your official transcripts from the college(s) you have previously attended be sent to: Joliet Junior College, Academic Credentials Office, 1215 Houbolt Road, Joliet, IL 60431-8938.

3. Submit a Request for Transcript Evaluation. For more information, please contact the Academic Credentials Office at (815) 729-9020 ext. 2803.

4. Take Placement Test (COMPASS). Placement Testing is required for enrollment in math, English and/or Foreign Language. Exception: If college-level English and/or math have been completed with a grade of “C” or better, COMPASS testing may not be required. For English: students must bring proof of prerequisite completion in the form of a grade report on the first day of class. For Math:  Complete the Placement Form for Visiting/Reverse Transfer Students form and have it signed by your advisor/counselor/mathematics department faculty member at the university/college that you are attending. 5. Schedule an appointment with a JJC Counselor/Advisor. Please call (815) 729-9020 x 2673 or visit www.JJC.edu/counseling  . Bring all documentation to the counseling appointment.
