This list is only a partial list of the resources available on campus. For additional
information, see the services for students page.
Need stamps?
Did you know JJC has a mailroom that can sell you stamps or send packages? Go to
J-1012 (across from Registration and down from the bookstore).
Need to apply for Graduation?
The Graduation Office is located in J-1042 but you can apply using eResources or
the Kiosks.
Need Financial Aid information?
Financial Aid is located in J-1045 and can answer questions as well as provide you
with scholarship information.
Where's the Library?
The LRC (Learning Resource Center) is located on the third floor of the J building,
J-3001.
Need a Tutor?
The Academic Skills Center provides peer tutors for many subjects. The Academic Skills Center is located
in J-2013. Project Achieve is available for those who qualify. Project Achieve has
professional tutors available. The office of Project Achieve is located in H-1001.
Need Exercise?
The Fitness Center is located in G-1018 and can be taken as a one credit hour class.

Need a Student Handbook?
Student Handbooks are printed each year and available at New Student Registrations
beginning in April. Copies will be available at various locations around campus
in the fall and spring semesters. These handbooks contain more information on various
resources, policies…and a planner section to keep track of assignments.
Want to join a club on campus?
The Office of Student Activities oversees 40 clubs. There really is something for
everyone. Stop by OSA and pick up a club flyer or directory that lists all clubs
and advisers. You can also view the
Club Listings page. If
you don't see a group that you'd like to belong to, you need 10 students
and an adviser to come forward for chartering. Chartering occurs in October, December
and February of each year.
Have an idea for a program?
Is there something you'd like to see happen on campus? The Office of Student Activities
takes your ideas with pleasure. OSA especially likes to showcase student talent
in various venues and will also bring in speakers, entertainment…requests are always
welcome!
Need help writing a paper?
The Writing Center is located in C-2001 and is staffed by faculty members who can
provide technical assistance with your research papers and other papers.
Need help in Math?
The Math Center is located in C-2019 and is also staffed by faculty members. They
can take the fear out of Math!
Want to know more about a specific career?
Career Services located in D-1010 can set up appointments for Career counseling
and or assistance with your resume and interviewing skills. Call (815) 280-2756.
Interested in Transferring to a 4 year University?
The Transfer Center is located in D-1010 and has applications to universities and
colleges AND can provide you with information about classes that will transfer.
Do you have a documented Learning Disability or special needs?
The Student Accommodations Resource office is located in J-2025. StAR can help you
get interpreters, assistance with note taking and other services you may require
to succeed in college.
Does your car need work…an oil change?
The Auto Shop is an on campus resource available for students and staff. Students
do the work while learning and being supervised by faculty members. The Auto Shop
can be contacted by calling (815) 280-2229 and is located in C-2001.
