Student Assistance Program
The Joliet Junior College Student Assistance Program (SAP) seeks to help students
have a positive experience in school and cope effectively with the pressures of
daily living.
Several components are available:
Individual Counseling
Available through SAP, the JJC Guidance and Counseling Office and a licensed, clinical,
professional counselor. The clinician can meet with the students 3 - 5 times through SAP.
Life Skills Sessions
Educational sessions on various topics (healthy relationships, anger management,
stress management, stopped by the cops marijuana addictions, defense against sexual
assault, and appropriate use of technology). Contact Holistic Wellness for more
information. These sessions are free and open to students of JJC.
Resource Library
Brochures, books, videotapes, audiocassettes, and etc. on health/wellness related
topics are available for checkout.
Referrals to SAP can be made through the Holistic Wellness Coordinator.
