Support Programs and Services
JJC helps each student achieve success through some of the specialized programs
below.
Services include assistance in choosing a major, career assessments, on-campus recruitment,
job fairs, assistance in finding on- and off- campus employment, and information
on internships with help available in developing resumes, cover letters and interviewing
skills.
A full range of adult education, job training, employment, and support services
are provided for adult students/participants and their families.
Available for students and employees with children ages three and older.
This comprehensive program helps individuals who have not finished high school achieve
their academic and employment goals.
ESL classes, beginning to advanced, for non-native speakers of English; adults,
ages 16 and older, who are not enrolled in high school are eligible.
A Latino support network for students who want to earn an associate degree and transfer
to a four-year institution to earn a bachelor's degree.
This program is designed to prepare students ages 16 and older who are not enrolled
in high school for the General Educational Development (GED) test. Classes are offered
online and in Spanish.
Students seeking to have a positive experience in school and life can find resources
and assistance through the Holistic Wellness Program, as well as events including
Alcohol Awareness Week, Relay for Life, stress relief, and volunteer opportunities.
Project Achieve offers tutoring, academic counseling, study skills, career exploration,
transfer support, and workshops.
