AAWCC National Chapter
American Association for Women in Community Colleges (AAWCC) National Chapter
Dr. Terry R. Irby, Vice President for Professional Development for AAWWCC. Dr. Irby
was instrumental in starting the Joliet Chapter for AAWCC. The national chapter
assists in establishing local chapters and works with women at the local level in

AAWCC Joliet Junior College Chapter
Joliet Junior College's local AAWCC Chapter provides the opportunity for women at
the community college to participate directly all kinds of activities, such as networking,
communications, professional development, leadership, nurturing, mentoring, and
personal growth.
The Joliet Chapter of AAWCC has been instrumental in collaborating to provide women's
conferences and speakers on topics such as women in the workplace, gender equity,
etc. The chapter has also been successful in hosting a food and Christmas toy drive,
and much more.
