Dual Admissions
Dual Admissions is a joint admissions program with participating colleges/universities
providing you the opportunity to gain admission while attending JJC.
Advantages of Dual Admissions:
- Saves the student money by taking courses at JJC with lower tuition and fees.
- Provides students better control over academic planning by only taking the courses needed in order
to graduate/transfer.
- Allows students to visit the participating college campus prior to transferring, and to meet with
the admissions staff and academic advisors.
- Early acceptance to the participating transfer school will help ease the student's transfer process.
- Students transfer to a participating institution better prepared for upper division courses in their
field of study.
Steps to Apply for Dual Admissions Students:
- Complete a JJC application.
- Fill out the Dual Admission form and
return to the Admissions Office.
- Student participating in any Dual Admissions agreement MUST also complete and send an application to
those senior institutions.
- Submit a high school/GED transcript to the Admissions Office at Main Campus, room J-1005.
- Take the COMPASS Placement Test.
