Who can attend JJC?

JJC maintains an "open door" admissions policy. You are eligible for admission if you are:

  • A high school graduate or have a G.E.D. certificate
  • 18 years of age or older
  • Transferring from another college or university and you meet one of the above criteria

Do I qualify for a "new start" at JJC?

JJC affords returning adult students a one-time opportunity to correct past poor academic performances in order to reach educational goals. A student must complete the "New Start" Application and on-line quiz before meeting with a JJC counselor. Certain stipulations must be met. Is advance standing available?

A student who has upgraded her/his high school curriculum to include science and math classes with college-level content may be awarded college credit or advanced standing. Consult the JJC Catalog or Student Handbook and Calendar.

How can I set up a campus visit?

What is the difference between full-time and part-time student status?

A student is classified as full-time when enrolled in 12 or more credit hours. Students who attend part-time are enrolled in less then 12 credit hours.

Do I need a parking sticker?

No parking pass is required.

Is there an application fee?
