JJC maintains an "open door" admissions policy. You are eligible for admission if
you are:
- A high school graduate or have a G.E.D. certificate
- 18 years of age or older
- Transferring from another college or university and you meet one of the above criteria
JJC affords returning adult students a one-time opportunity to correct past poor
academic performances in order to reach educational goals. A student must complete
the "New Start" Application and on-line quiz before meeting with a JJC counselor.

A student who has upgraded her/his high school curriculum to include science and math
classes with college-level content may be awarded college credit or advanced standing.

A student is classified as full-time when enrolled in 12 or more credit hours. Students who
attend part-time are enrolled in less then 12 credit hours.
No parking pass is required.
