How to Register
Methods of Registration:
Group Advising
Group advising is required of all new full-time
students. It is also highly recommended for new part time students. To schedule
a group advising session, see the counseling
page.
You must bring the following to the session:
- A copy of your COMPASS Placement Test results
- Your JJC username and password (see the
password help page if you need this information)
- The certificate verifying your reservation for the group session
- A photo ID in order to obtain your JJC student ID
- A copy of your high school transcripts (if registering for a college-level math
course)
Please plan to remain for at least 2-1/2 hours to complete the entire group process.

Available to returning students (full and part time) and new part-time students.

Touch-Tone Phone Registration
(815) 741-4040. Available to returning full-time and part-time
students.
To officially finalize your schedule, obtain your balance due and receive directions
for paying by credit card, you must press 6.
Hours:
- Monday - Thursday: 12:01am - 7:30pm
- Friday: 12:01am - 4:30pm
- Saturday - Sunday: 24 hours
You are eligible to use touch-tone registration if you meet all
of the following criteria:
- Have a touch-tone phone
- Have completed an online admissions application or have registered for a credit
class within the last year
- Have no restrictions
- Have checked course prerequisites and placement test requirements
- Have course SYNONYM numbers of the courses you wish to register. SYNONYM numbers
for a course are located after the course number. For example, in the description
"GEOG 108 - 50 (42321)", 42321 is the SYNONYM number. If you need help, see the
eRegistration page.
For courses that do not include a SYNONYM number, or to audit or repeat a course,
go through the Registration Office.
Important: A course cannot be added by touch-tone after the course
begins. A course can be dropped by touch-tone up to the refund date.
