As an active member of the JJC Alumni Association you can enjoy a variety of events
that will enable you to renew old friendships, have opportunity to network with
other JJC alumni and friends and enjoy educational presentations.
Success Story Series
The Success Stories Series is a sequence of presentations designed to introduce students to personal success stories of JJC
alumni who are leaders in the community and/or their field. In an effort to encourage and motivate academic persistence, students
will have the opportunity to experience real life stories from role models who have successfully transferred to 4-year institutions
and/or the workforce.
Sessions are held at Main Campus from noon to 1:00 p.m. Complimentary lunch will be served.

JJC Alumni Comedy Night
When: March, Fine Arts Theatre, Main Campus
In 2008 the JJC Alumni Association hosted the Southern Fried Chicks Tour starring
Etta May and featuring Trish Suhr, Beth Donahue and Sonya White is the top-grossing
all female comedy tour on the road today.
The Southern Fried Chicks is the story of four different women and their hilarious
take on life, love and the pursuit of happiness. Think Blue Collar Comedy Tour with
better hair and bigger attitude! Life and love in the USA has never been funnier
as when the original "desperate housewives" give their point of view. You'll leave
the theatre wiping your eyes, holding your sides and waiting for you next helping
of the Southern Fried Chicks.

27th Annual Alumni Brunch

On Sunday, June 8, 2008, the Joliet Junior College Alumni Association hosted its
27th Annual Alumni Brunch at the Renaissance Center Grand Ballroom. Guests enjoyed
the culinary delights of Chef William Siska and his staff. The classes of 1958,
1968 and 1978 were honored.
Honorees included Distinguished Alumni recipient Larry Walsh ('68); Susan H. Wood
inductees, Myra Linden and Natalie Miller; Faculty Prestige Award, Kimberly Karlberg.

Distinguished Alumni Achievement Award
The Distinguished Alumni Achievement Award is the highest honor bestowed upon alumni
of Joliet Junior College by the Alumni Association, on behalf of Joliet Junior College.
It is presented to those who have demonstrated outstanding success in his or her
chosen field, and provided humanitarian service to society.
Susan H. Wood Hall of Fame
The Susan H. Wood Hall of Fame was established to recognize a non-alumna/alumnus
of Joliet Junior College who is a current or former faculty member, administrator
or friend who has served Joliet Junior College in an exceptional way.
Faculty Prestige Award
The Student Alumni Association honors a JJC faculty member with the Prestige
Award. The purpose of the Prestige Award is to recognize an outstanding faculty member
for her/his hard work; someone who goes above and beyond!
