1. VP Economic Development, Will County CED - Mr. Matt Cybolski met with SLT to introduce himself and presented information on what his position would be responsible for in the Will County area. Some of the responsibilities are community outreach, transportation issues, and educational partnerships.

2. Off Campus Voice System - We need to address the fact that our off campus Board meetings are unable to be heard by our staff and guests in the audience.

   Outcome: This matter will be looked into further. A possible solution is the purchase of wireless microphones

3. Distribution of Board Reports - Discussion of the current individuals receiving the Board books and who should be added or taken off of the list.

   Outcome: Only direct reports will receive the board books in the future

4. Human Resources - J. Coleman

   • Establishment of Compensation Committee - This committee needs to be established and SLT was requested to make recommendations on individuals for the committee.

     Outcome: SLT to send J. Coleman names of support staff and administrators for the compensation committee ASAP.

   • J. Coleman distributed the following information to SLT for review:

     • Adjunct Faculty Salary Rate Changes for FY 2008-2009
     • Draft - Involuntary Termination from Employment Policy and Procedures
     • Draft - Exit Interview Process
     • Draft - Resignation Policy and Procedures
     • Draft - Position Reclassification and Salary Adjustment
     • Draft - Frequently Asked Questions and Answers on Position Reclassification and Salary Adjustments
     • Draft - Search Guidelines for Faculty and Administrative Searches

     Outcome: SLT to review the information and get comments back to J. Coleman ASAP.

Administrative Services

• Improvement list - A list of improvements for items not included in the master plan was reviewed by SLT with suggestions noted.

Institutional Advancement and Research

1. Campus Maps - The new campus map was displayed for SLT.

2. Student Development Saturday office hours on August 23 and August 30 - Student Services is scheduled to have office hours on August 23 and August 30. The bookstore and service center will be open on August 23. The adjunct faculty office is open until noon on August 23.

   Outcome: SLT suggested that because of the Labor Day holiday weekend there be no offices open on August 30.
