What do I do if I have a Mac?

If you are using a Mac, the Cisco Clean Access Agent will currently not be installed. However, when you first open up a web browser you will need to log into the Clean Access System using your JJC Username and Password. If you turn off your computer you may need to log in again. To log in, just open up a web browser and you will be redirected to the login page.

When Clean Access gives you temporary access, click on the continue button.

When Clean Access asks you to update your virus definitions,

DO NOT use the “Update” button on the screen. Cisco is currently working with Trend Micro to fix the update function. Please follow the process outlined below:

  1. Locate the Trend Micro Blue Circle Icon at the bottom of your system tray. Right Click on it and select the “Update Now!” option to launch the Update Now Settings.

  2. Click on the “Update Now…” button to manually update the definitions.

  3. You will see this window after a successful update of the OfficeScan Client. Click on the OK button and login again from the Clean Access window.

If you experience any problems, please contact the PC Help Desk so we can ensure that the definition files on your computer are updated successfully and you are able to access the JJC network.

What do I do If I need Windows Critical Updates?

Please Contact PC Help to have them push the updates to your PC. Windows Critical Updates are automatically deployed to all Windows PC's through the IT Windows Server Update Service (WSUS). Clean Access determines if your PC has received all required updates and will place the PC in a Temporary Access Role if not compliant.

Does Clean Access protect against spyware?

Cisco Clean Access does not protect against spyware. However CCA will ensure that when you connect to the internet, your computer is up-to-date and protected against viruses and worms.
