Academic Quality Improvement Program (AQIP)
The Academic Quality Improvement Program (AQIP) is one of several pathways leading to accreditation with HLC. AQIP differs from other pathways in that it is premised on principles of continuous quality improvement and affirming the institution's accredited status.
JJC was one of the first 30 colleges to apply and be accepted into the AQIP process for accreditation through the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools in 2000.

AQIP Quality Program Summary
A specialized accrediting body evaluates particular units, schools, or programs within an organization. Specialized accreditation, also called program accreditation, is often associated with national professional associations, such as those for engineering, medicine, and law, or with specific disciplines, such as business, teacher education, psychology, or social work.
