Joliet Junior College Foundation sponsored the 22nd Annual Scholarship Awards
Recognition and Appreciation event on Sunday, October 30, 2005. Over 350 persons
attended the recognition ceremony. Students who were recipients of scholarships
were honored for their dedication to the pursuit of education. In attendance were scholarship donors, JJC administration, JJC staff, Foundation board members, Alumni Association board members and friends of Joliet Junior College. President J.D. Ross welcomed scholarship recipients and donors. Jennifer Kloberdanz, Dean of Admissions and Financial Aid delivered a statement of purpose. Remarks were made by Jim McFarland, Chairman of JJC Board of Trustees. In academic year 2005-2006, 625 scholarships were awarded to 397 students. The total dollar amount awarded was $476,284. |

The Joliet Junior College Foundation works to fund scholarships that will enable students to expand opportunity through education. The Foundation’s
priority is to provide students within the college’s district the opportunity to better themselves through education. Kristin Mulvey, Joliet Junior College Foundation Executive Director explains, “The importance of these gifts is event greater given our current economy and cuts that have been made to education funds. Without these gifts many of our students would not have the opportunity to pursue the excellent academics programs that the college provides.” |
