Even Start Family Literacy is designed to help break the cycle of
poverty and limited education by providing income eligible families with an opportunity to participate in international programs. Even Start has four
components;
1. Childhood Education, age-appropriate education to prepare
children for success in school.
2. Adult Education, which provides English as a Second Language,
GED preparation, and training that leads to economic self-sufficiency.
3. Family Education (Parenting), training of parents emphasizing
their responsibility as the primary teacher for their children.
4. Parent and Child together, provides the opportunity for
intergenerational actives with parent and child together.
