National Chapter Dr. Terry R. Irby is
the Region V Director for AAWCC. Dr. Irby was instrumental in starting the Joliet Chapter of AAWCC and represents five (5) state nationally,
Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio and Michigan. The national chapter will assist in establishing local chapters and work with them to
develop the chapter bylaws. Recognized chapters will receive $100 in startup money from the national board. If you are interested in starting a

Local Chapter
Joliet Junior College’s local AAWCC Chapter provides the opportunity for women at the community college to participate directly all kinds of activities,
such as networking, communications, professional development, leadership, nurturing, mentoring, and personal growth.
The Joliet Chapter of AAWCC has been instrumental in collaborating to provide women’s conferences
and speakers on topics such as women in the workplace, gender equity, etc. The chapter has also been successful in hosting a food and Christmas toy
drive, and much more.
