What is Credit for Life Experience?
Joliet Junior College has developed processes for awarding college credit without attending formal classes. These processes gives student an opportunity to demonstrate that their experiential learning is similar to that which is taught in a structured college course.
This learning may have resulted from job experiences, community service, travel, hobbies, and/or seminars and workshops.
In all cases of credit without attending formal classes, a maximum of 30 credit hours may be awarded toward graduation.
Ways of obtaining credit for prior experiential learning:
An information meeting will be held every semester.
