Private Pilot Ground School (LLC 2212)
Gain valuable aviation knowledge and discover what flying is all about. This short, very intense and comprehensive ten-week class will prepare the student to pass the FAA Written Test for Private Pilot. Includes study in aerodynamics, weather, and basic VFR cross-country technique. Students of any age can take the Ground School Review class but must be 16 years of age to register for the certification exam. Text to be purchased separately at the JJC Bookstore.

Boating Skills & Seamanship (LLC 2211)
Get certified and save money on your boat insurance! The first six weeks of this course are appropriate for youth needing their boat safety certification. (The exam is given in class.) Completion of the entire course will ensure that your family members know the “ins and outs” of boating from the hull to the stern. Coast Guard training officers teach safety, boating language, and boat handling in a classroom setting. Books will be supplied at the first class meeting. Many insurance companies provide a discount with proof of completion of the entire Boating Skills &Seamanship certification course. Appropriate for ages 12 and up.

Robolab for Adults (LLC 3503)
By special request, a class just for adults, why let the kids have all the fun? Join in the fun of building a single sensor robot using the Lego Robolab system. Learn how to program a robot and have it follow a line pattern. Challenge yourself to improve the time and accuracy of your robot as it completes the course.

Bicycle Basics (LLC 3691)
Get ready for the Spring Riding Season. If you are considering purchasing a bike this year or you are ready to get that older bike out of the attic this is the class for you. Begin by learning about the features and functions of different bikes and how to choose the one that will be right for your riding needs. Learn how to adjust a bike for a proper fit along with basic care and maintenance techniques to help avoid road emergencies. be prepared to handle road emergencies when they do happen.
