Illinois Real Estate Salesperson Qualification
Real Estate Transactions (MGT 4280)
In just 45 classroom hours, you can launch a dynamic new career in the ever-growing real estate industry. This course deals with real estate ownership, contract, agency, title transfer and disclosures, deeds, mortgage instruments, leasing, and State of Illinois licensing law. Real Estate Transactions is designed to equip students to participate successfully in the field of property ownership, management, and sales. A required course for candidates planning to take the Illinois Salesperson License Examination. Class instructor is Ms. Nancy Freeman, local real estate broker and multi-million dollar producer. Class fee includes books and workbooks.
Illinois Real Estate Broker Pre-Licensing Program
Prerequisite for all Broker courses: Real Estate Transactions or Illinois Salesperson License. All five Broker classes shall consist of 15 classroom hours. Upon successful completion of the five essential Broker classes, candidates may sit for the Illinois Broker Examination. Class instructor is Ms. Nancy Freeman, local real estate broker and multi-million dollar producer.
Advanced Principles (MGT 4680)
This course covers the consumer-centric subjects most recurrent or important in real estate Brokerage. Discuss escrow, fair housing, agency, disclosure, environmental issues, real estate license law, ethics and other topics approved by the EAC and OBRE. Pre-requisite: Real Estate Transactions or Illinois Salesperson License.
Real Estate Appraisal (MGT 4780)
This course covers the process of appraisal with a focus on residential property and value, economic trends, depreciation, and land value. Course includes methodology, terminology, and procedures of valuing real property. Pre-requisite: Real Estate Transactions or Illinois Salesperson License.
Financing (MGT 4880)
This course shall include a study of the economics of real estate financing, types and sources of financing, interest, liens, foreclosure, and real property insurance. Course will also cover sources of mortgage money, mortgage terms and analysis, marketing and construction of loans. Pre-requisite: Real Estate Transactions or Illinois Salesperson License.
