Mother's Day Stamping (LLC 3654)Use stamping to make your own personal design on a lovely vase that Mom can use enjoy throughout the year. Beginning Stained Glass (LLC 3816)
Stained glass is fun and easy! Students are guided, step by step, through the many stages of construction, using the copper foil method. Each student will create a beautiful window panel of their own. A few basic essentials are provided, and an additional supply list will be given at the first session. Ages 16 and up welcome.

Intermediate Stained Glass (LLC 3864) Continue the fun. Students are guided, step by step, through more stained glass creation, using the copper foil method. Introduction to Glass Bead Making (LLC 3865) Learn the hottest new trend in glass! Students will take home as many beads as they can make in this one day seminar. Course topics include safety, setting up a home studio, proper annealing, and basic bead making techniques. No experience necessary, all supplies and tools for the day are provided. Ages 16 and up welcome.
Pottery (LLC 731)
Learn basic hand molding and wheel work. Individual attention is given to each student while they work with their personal interests. You take your creations home. All materials are provided, including clay and glazes, etc. – the firing is done for you too. This class is held at The Talent Zone, 802 Wilcox Street, Joliet. No experience necessary.

Have you enjoyed pottery class and would like to do more? Continue the fun with more pottery projects. You take your creations home. Sewing for Beginners (LLC 3525)
Never sewed before but have a desire to learn and don't know where to begin? This class is the place to start! Understanding patterns, measurements and fabric types will be covered. One simple item will be completed during the course. Attendees will need to bring their own sewing machine. Supply list furnished. Book included with class cost.
Sewing Continued (LLC 3656)
Continue where you left off in Sewing for Beginners or for individuals with basic sewing skills. Learn to put in zippers, make simple facings, attach collars, and complete darts. You will learn more about your machine and how to follow patterns. Attendees will need to bring their own sewing machine. Supply list furnished. Prerequisite: Sewing for Beginners or previous class/experience with clothing construction.
Knitting for Beginners (LLC 712) Learn the very basics of knitting. In this fun hands-on class you will be introduced to basic techniques and get started on your first project. Supply list given in class after first session and projects are chosen.
Knitting Holiday Project (LLC 3867)
A fun and exciting project class; knit a gorgeous holiday project of your choice. Choose a poinsettia jar topper or a holiday hang towel topper. They can be a fun decoration for your home or a gift for someone special. Supply list mailed before first class. Basic knowledge of knitting suggested.
Crocheting for Beginners (LLC 711) Learn the very basics of crochet. In this fun hands-on class you will be introduced to basic techniques and get started on your first project. Supply list given in class after first session and projects are chosen.

If you have enjoyed this class in the past you will enjoy a refresher in the art.

Drawing and Painting
New - Color Drawing with Pencil & Pastel (LLC 3988) Learn how to see subjects in a different way – one that allows for greater expression and more lively drawings and paintings. Rather than replicating what is in front of them, students will learn how to “use” color to create mood, impact, and excitement. Students will begin with how to “think” in color, paint with colored pencils and paint with pastels. A supply list will be provided prior to the start of class.
Cartooning (LLC 3661)In this fun course learn the art of cartooning! We will learn the basic cartooning techniques for drawing heads, bodies, hands, feel, character types, poses, expressions, props and backgrounds! during the course you will develop your own original cartoon character and create a character study. We will also develop cartoons for greeting cards, editorials, comic strips, and other fun projects. We will create a scrapbook/ sketchbook while we learn about line, washes, lettering, movement, observation, perspective and publication! Go from beginner to well on your way to becoming a real cartoonist -amaze your friends and family and develop a fun new skill! Once registered a short supply list will be sent to you.
One Stroke Painting Introduction (LLC 3301)
Learn a fast and easy method of painting using the Donna Dewberry technique of double loading. Class will offer demonstration and practice. Create a simple project with your new skill. Supply list will be provided upon registration.
One Stroke Painting Applied
(LLC 3302)
Learn a fast and easy method of painting using the Donna Dewberry technique of double loading. This class will provide an introduction to One Stroke Painting and spend more time with learning various strokes than the introduction class. Create simple projects and enjoy learning a new skill. Supply list will be provided upon registration.
Oil Painting (LLC 719)
Learn the basics of oil painting the Alexander way. No previous experience necessary. The instructor will demonstrate a step-by-step process and students will practice each technique- completing a painting each class session. Focus is on encouraging creativity and having fun painting! A supply list will be provided prior to the start of class.
Drawing Workshop (LLC 3640)
A drawing class for all skill levels. Whether a beginner or at the advanced level you will enjoy this class. Beginners will learn to draw and sketch with focus on perspective, form, light, shadow and composition. More advanced students will continue to build on these skills working from photographs as well as real life. Enjoy being part of an enthusiastic group while leaning from an experienced instructor and artist. Supply list will be mailed before class.

Experience a watercolor class designed for all levels of experience. Beginners will focus on the basic techniques and properties of working with watercolors while more advanced students will continue to build on these skills working from photographs as well as real life.
