Joliet Junior College Kids College Holds 2nd Annual Easter Egg Hunt
If two hundred children could will Spring to come, then that is what happened on Saturday, March 28, 2009 at Joliet Junior College. Kids College sponsored the 2nd Annual Kids College Easter Egg Hunt at 11:30am on the lawn in front of T building at the Main Campus location. It may have been the sheer will of these children and the luck of the Easter Bunny that held the inclement weather at bay until after the outdoor activity was completed.
Children age ten and under divided into five age groups to greet the Easter Bunny and search for toy and candy filled eggs scattered on the lawn. All of the children who participated in the free event enjoyed photo opportunities with the Easter Bunny and received “environment friendly” reusable bags sporting the Kids College logo to collect eggs. Three children from each group delighted in discovering specially marked winning eggs. Winners were awarded Easter Baskets filled with treats.
