I just wanted to let you know that Sadie received her certification as a therapy dog in Therapy Dogs International.
After we left you Monday night, Sadie and I started practice for the hospital equipment part of the TDI test. You know how jumpy she is with new things. I took the wheelchair home from school and practiced that every night. We also visited one of the teachers who is using a walker. After a few times, she was just fine with the equipment.
The test was given at a kennel that trains German Shepards. The testing room was very crowded with people and dogs. Sadie focused totally on me and what she was required to do for the test. I was very proud of her.
I must tell you that the program you have a JJC totally prepared us for this test. When I arrived and watched a few dogs test, I felt confident in what Sadie and I could do as a team. This was solely because the quality of your class and the expertise you shared with us.
Thank you so much for your encouragement and help. You will be part of the happiness she gives others as we volunteer.
