Candidacy Packets for April 2019 Election Now Available for Three JJC Trustee Positions

Candidates for the office of Trustee of Joliet Junior College District 525 will be elected at the Consolidated Election held on April 2, 2019. 
 
•Three six-year Trustee terms are up for election

Blank nominating papers for prospective candidates will be available beginning Sept. 18, 2018.

Candidacy packet information will be available starting Sept. 18 on the JJC Board of Trustees web page, under the consolidated election tab. You may also download the petition packet directly here.

Additionally, candidacy packets will be available beginning the same date in room A-3107 on Joliet Junior College’s main campus from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday. 

The first day for filing nominating papers by prospective candidates will be on Dec. 10 in the local elections official’s office at A-3107 on Joliet Junior College’s main campus at 1215 Houbolt Road, Joliet, IL 60431.  Petitions may be filed either in person or by United States mail. The period for filing nominating papers is Dec. 10 through Dec. 17 from the hours of 8:00 am until 4:30 pm, except that on the last day of filing, Dec. 17, the office will be open until 5:00 pm.  Please note that filings made by mail must be received no earlier than the opening of the office on Dec. 10 and no later than 5:00 pm on the last day of the filing period. 

Objections to nominating papers will be received in the local elections official’s office at A-3107 on Joliet Junior College’s main campus at 1215 Houbolt Road, Joliet, Illinois 60431 on December 18, 19, 20, 21 and on Jan 2., 2019.
