Campus Information

Joliet Junior College serves a diverse population in several counties and at many sites. In addition to its Main Campus located in west Joliet, the college has campuses in Romeoville, downtown Joliet, and Morris. The college offers a wide selection of credit and non-credit courses at several satellite sites from Dwight to Lemont as well.

Located at 1215 Houbolt Road, Jolliet, the Main Campus boasts the Arthur G. and Vera C. Smith Business and Technology Center, a 90,000-square-foot building that houses several state-of-the-art microcomputer labs and facilities for the Community & Economic Development (CED) Department to conduct industrial training programs for business and industry. In 2000, the college opened the Veterinary Technology and Industrial Training Building, which houses the faculty, classrooms and laboratories of the Veterinary Medical Technology degree program.

The Main Campus also has a full-service cafeteria, kitchen for Culinary Arts students, Fine Arts Theatre, Laura A. Sprague Art Gallery, Herbert Trackman Planetarium, Cyber Café, Fitness Center, gymnasium, and administrative offices, including the President’s Office, Human Resources, financial aid, registration and payment center.

In August 2002, Centennial Commons, a student housing facility, opened giving students housing options that range from studio to quad living.

 The North Campus opened in 1993 at 1125 W. Romeo Road, Romeoville. The 35,000-square-foot facility includes 18 general classrooms, biology, chemistry and computer skills labs, a library, and offices.

 The City Center Campus is located at 214 N. Ottawa St., Joliet. This educational facility and conference center provides hands-on experience for JJC Culinary Arts and Hospitality Management students. The campus also houses the Division of Adult and Family Services, which offers programs designed to help people improve their situations through education, and the Community & Economic Development (CED) Department, which helps business and industry educate the workforce through specialized seminars and courses. The campus’ Renaissance Center banquet facility can be rented for weddings, banquets, showers, anniversaries, and other business and private parties.

The Grundy County Center is JJC’s newest addition and is located at 1715 N. Division St., Morris. In addition to a classroom and state-of-the-art computer lab, students can take advantage of a wide variety of services, such as COMPASS testing, admissions and financial aid information, academic advising, and registration. The campus has a resource room shared with the Grundy County Workforce Services which is open to all community residents and has the tools to assist in changing careers or locating employment.
