Jeremy Richardson
Head CoachThe 2008 season will be Jeremy
Richardson's first season as Head Football Coach. He was an assistant coach for
the Wolves under Tom Minnick for the 2007 season.
Coach Richardson was a wide receivers coach at Glades
Central High School in Belle Glade, FL for one season where they won the 2006 3A
State Football Championship. Prior to that, he spent two seasons at Northern
Michigan University as a graduate assistant where he worked with tight ends,
offensive line, and wide receivers. He also coached one season at Fairmont State
College as a student assistant tight ends coach.
Jeremy Richardson was a three sport athlete at Bloomington
High School where he played football, basketball, and ran track. He then went on
to play football at Joliet Junior College for the 1997 and 1998 seasons where he
earned N4C all-conference honors his sophomore season. After Joliet, he went to
Fairmont State College where he was a two year starter as a tight end. Jeremy
was a two time all-conference recipient in the West Virginia Intercollegiate
Athletic Conference.

Jeremy earned his master's degree in training and development
from Northern Michigan University in 2006. He received his bachelor's degree
from Aurora University and his associate degree from Joliet Junior College.
Jeremy and his wife Latisha reside in Joliet, IL. They have
three children, Nya, Jeremy, and Jemigh.

Wayne Racine
Defensive CoordinatorWayne Racine is entering his
first season at Joliet Junior College as the defensive coordinator.
Prior to coming to JJC, Coach Racine was at Marian College
where he coached the offensive line. He has also coached at Concordia
University, St. Xavier University, and the College of DuPage. In the high school
ranks, he worked with Oak Lawn High School and Saint Francis DeSales.
During his coaching career, Racine has coached two
All-Americans and seven all-conference players.
Wayne resides in Chicago, IL.

Darryl Richardson
Wide Receivers Coach
The 2008 football season marks the ninth year that Darryl Richardson has been an assistant coach at Joliet Junior College. Richardson
has coached tailbacks, wide receivers, and tight ends during his coaching career
at Joliet.
Richardson was a wide receivers coach at the College of DuPage under former Joliet Junior College head coach Bob MacDougall. Darryl
coached at DuPage from 1991 through the 1997 season. Besides coaching at DuPage and now Joliet Junior College, Richardson coached for
the Tulsa Talons in the
Arena Football League in 2000.
In addition to his wealth of coaching experience, Richardson brings to the table an abundance of accolades from his playing days on the
gridiron.
Richardson earned Illinois High School Association All-State honors as a star player at

Wheaton North High School. By rushing for
more than 1,000 yards twice in his prep career, he helped Wheaton North to two
state championships (1979 and 1981).
Following high school, Richardson was a three-year starting running back at
Northern Illinois University in DeKalb. In his sophomore year, he rushed for
1,204 yards. That same year, Darryl helped the Huskies finish with a 10-2 record
and win the California Bowl with a victory over highly touted Cal
State-Fullerton. He earned all-conference honors in the prestigious Mid-American
Conference (MAC) and was an honorable mention All-American in his playing days
at Northern Illinois.
Richardson received his bachelor of arts
degree in communications from Northern Illinois University. He signed a free
agent contract with the Green Bay Packers of the National Football League in
1986. One year later, he played with the Cincinnati Bengals. After a brief stint
in the Canadian Football League (CFL), Richardson retired as a player.
Darryl is employed with Compass Mortgage, Inc. as a mortgage consultant. He
resides in Carol Stream, IL.

Steve Gonzalez
Defensive Backs CoachSteve Gonzalez will be coaching his
third season at Joliet Junior College in 2008.
Steve was the head football
coach at Romeoville High School during the 2004 and 2005 seasons.
Steve was a star linebacker who played at Romeoville High School under Coach Bill Wienke. Coach Gonzalez was a three-year starter
for the Spartans and received 1st team all-conference honors his junior and senior seasons.
After graduating high school, Gonzalez went on and played football at the College of DuPage. He was a linebacker for the Chaparrals
and was on the 1995-1996 team which went undefeated that season. Steve played for former Joliet Junior College head football coach Bob MacDougall and
current head football coach Tom Minnick while at College of DuPage.
After playing football for two years at DuPage, Steve went on and played for Aurora University under Coach Jim Scott. Steve was a
starter at defensive end for two years. |

Steve is employed at Romeoville High School teaching physical
education and driver’s education. He and his wife Carrie reside in Joliet, IL.
They have three children, Steve Jr., Natalie, and Nathan.

Harrison Brewer
Offensive Line Coach
Harrison Brewer is entering his first season at Joliet Junior
College as the offensive line coach.
Coach Brewer was a student assistant at Olivet Nazarene
University for the 2007 season.
Harrison graduated from Lockport Township High School in 2003 and
was a captain on the 2002 state championship football team. He then went on to
play at Olivet Nazarene University where he was a four-year starting center.
During his time at Olivet, he was apart of the 2003 MSFA conference championship
and MSFA and First Team NCCAA All-American in 2006.
He earned a bachelor's degree in business administration from
Olivet Nazarene University in 2007.
Harrison is employed at Argonne National Laboratories as a
technician. He resides in Lockport, IL.

Robert Bastian
Defensive Line Coach
Robert Bastian returns for his second season as an assistant
coach for JJC football.
Bastian brings more than 15 years of college coaching experience
to the table. He has made stops at Henderson State University, Tri-State
University, Olivet College, Adrian College, Grand Rapids Community College,
Northwest Mississippi Community College, and Harper College. He has coached in
four bowl games and twice in the NCAA playoffs. Five of his former players have
signed with the NFL, NFL Europe, or CFL contracts.
Coach Bastian was the head football coach and athletic director
at Bloomingdale High School (Mich.), as well as athletic director at Millington
Community Schools (Mich.). He was nominated for National High School Athletic
Administrator of the Year in 2002 and 2003.
A two-year letterman at wide receiver for Kansas State
University, Bastian earned a bachelor of science degree in political
science/history. He earned his master's degree in sports administration from the
United States Sports Academy.

Robert and his wife Nancy, reside in
Channahon, IL. They have two children, Kevin and Lisa.

JD Curry
Running Backs Coach
The 2008 season will be JD Curry's first season as an assistant
coach for the Wolves football team.
JD is a 1995 graduate of Bloomington High School where he played
football. He earned First Team All-Conference honors as fullback. Curry then
continued his playing career at Illinois Valley Community College.
Curry has coached in the youth football league ranks for seven
years.
JD resides in Joliet, IL. He has one son, Jalen.

Eric Groves
Defensive Line Coach
Eric Groves will be coaching his first season at Joliet Junior
College in 2008, but he is no stranger to the college.
Eric attended JJC and played football for the Wolves during the
1996 and 1997 seasons. After JJC, he transferred to Tuskegee University where he
was part of the Division to Black College National Championship in 1998 as a
linebacker under Coach Rick Comegy.
Groves was a three-year starting linebacker at Danville High
School under Coach Nate Cunningham. He led in tackles for two seasons, which
earned him All-Conference honors his junior and senior years.
Eric resides in Joliet, IL.
