Wolves ranked #14 in NJCAA Pre-Season National Poll

 

The Joliet Junior College men's basketball team has been ranked #14 in the NJCAA Division III Pre-Season national poll. Returning for the Wolves is Ryan Owens, Adam Short, J.D. Fabian, Leslie Weekly, and John Edwards. JJC finished with a 20-12 overall record and a 5-5 N4C conference record along with coming in as Region IV Championship runners-up.

Ryan Owens receives NJCAA Division III Pre-Season All-American Honors

 

Ryan Owens has received NJCAA Division III 2nd team Pre-Season All-American honors for the JJC men's basketball team. Last season, Owens tallied 13.7 points per game, 5.4 rebounds per game, 3.2 assists per game, and 1.0 steals per game. He received Region IV All-Region and N4C 2nd team all-conference honors.

Owens receives Region IV Player of the Week

 

Ryan Owens has received Region IV Division III Player of the Week honors. Last week he averaged 19.8 points per game in 27 of 43 shooting. He was near perfect from the free throw line going 21/23. He averaged 4.5 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game. Was named tournament MVP at the Madison Tech Battle of the Borders tournament.

Adam Short receives Region IV Player of the Week

 

Adam Short has received Region IV Division III Player of the Week honors. Short led the Wolves to a pair of victories last week including an 80-71 win over Olivet Nazarene University JV and an 88-67 victory over Robert Morris College JV. He scored 20 points against Olivet and 16 points against Robert Morris on 13 of 24 shooting and 8 of 8 free throws.
