Vickie Jenkins spoke to JJC students about her success in electrical sales on Thursday, October 19, 2007
Vickie Jenkins presenting her Success Story

Vickie Scholnick-Jenkins is a 1995 graduate of Joliet Junior College from the Electrical/Electronic Automated Systems Program in the Technical Department.

As a mother of three, Vickie decided she needed to switch careers from real estate to something more financially consistent. After meeting with a counselor at JJC, she began taking EEAS classes.

Glen Mazur, Technical Dept. Chair with Vickie Jenkins

Since completing her A.A.S. degree at JJC, Vicki has gone on to get her bachelors degree in Applied Behavioral Science, and through various moves and promotions, currently works at Hubbell Wiring Device-Kellems as a territory manager

Vicki recommends, "Education opens doors, but you have to step through the door to take the adventure of life. You will be working for a long time, don’t settle for just a job, find something you have a passion for, something that is interesting to you."
