There are several ways to register for courses at JJC – in person, telephone, during a group advising session (required by new full-time students), or eResources.

A. Priority Registration

Is for:

• Students who are CURRENTLY ENROLLED in credit courses.
• Students who have no Restrictions or Financial obligations.

Is not for:

• Students who have WITHDRAWN from all current semester classes.

Summer 2010 Priority Registration

Priority Registration for the Summer 2010 term will begin on Saturday February 27th at 12:01am. Priority Registration is only on eResources.

Fall 2010 Priority Registration

The following changes to the Priority Registration process will take effect for the Fall 2010 semester:

Currently enrolled students in good academic standing may proceed with priority registration as follows:

• If the student has successfully completed 45 or more credit hours, the student may register from Sunday April 18, 12:00noon until the end of general registration*;
• If the student has successfully completed 30 or more credit hours, the student may register from Tuesday April 20, 12:00noon until the end of general registration*;
• If the student has successfully completed less than 30 credit hours, the student may register from Thursday April 22, 12:00noon until the end of general registration*.

Student transfer hours from other institutions will count toward the total number of credit hours used to determine for which priority registration section the student qualifies.
In order for transfer hours to be evaluated in time for priority registration students must complete the steps outlined on the transcript evaluation website  before March 1, 2010.
No exceptions will be made for transcripts turned in for evaluation after March 1, 2010. Any questions about this process can be forwarded to The Academic Credentials Office by email  at credentialsoffice@jjc.edu or by phone at 815-280-2803.

*All methods of general registration begin Monday April 26, 2010 at 7:30am (eResources registration begins Monday April 26, 2010 at 12:01am) and end Sunday August 22, 2010 at midnight.

B. General Registration

Is for:

• Students who are attending JJC for the first time
• Students who have previously attended JJC and are resuming studies
• Students who are transferring from another college or university
