Students must make payments by the due date. If payment is not made prior to the time Student Accounts and Payments closes on the due date then any unpaid classes will be removed from the student's schedule.
Important Reminder: Every class has its own refund and drop date. Please visit the refund policy page for more information on withdrawal, refunds and appeals.
What is Drop for Non-Payment?
Joliet Junior College has payment due dates that are determined by the date a student registers for a course(s). If payment is not received before the Student Accounts and Payments closes on the due date, any unpaid course(s) are at risk of being removed from the student's schedule.
If a student decides that they do not want the course(s) they registered for, it is their responsibility to drop the course(s). A student will be financially responsible for a course(s) if they do not drop on or before the refund date of the course(s). DO NOT RELY ON THE DROP FOR NON-PAYMENT PROCESS TO REMOVE A COURSE(S) FROM YOUR SCHEDULE! A student may re-register for a course(s) that has been dropped for non-payment provided there is an opening.
NOTE: Drop(s) for non-payment are preformed at 7:30 p.m. on the dates indicated on the Payment Schedule. Payment must be received by 7:30 p.m. the evening of the payment due date. All registration methods will be unavailable from 7:30 p.m. the evening of the payment due date, until noon the following day.
