Special Program Notes:
Many employers in the criminal justice and law enforcement field may require employees to submit to mandatory medical examinations, physical agility tests, personal background checks, and drug testing as a condition to their hiring and continuing employment. Certain physical impairments may bar affected students from employment in many aspects of the criminal justice and law enforcement profession. Question or concerns regarding these requirements should be directed to the coordinators of the criminal justice studies or law enforcement programs. The criminal justice and law enforcement courses, including the entry-level Law Enforcement 110 and Law Enforcement 100, expect students taking those courses to have a proficient level of writing and reading ability. Therefore it is highly recommended by the program faculty that students who are required to take remedial English or reading course work satisfy those requirements prior to enrollment in those two-entry level courses.
