The six session series presented each academic year focuses on current and controversial business topics of interest to both students and faculty. Speakers include Business Department faculty as well as prominent community, industry, and academic leaders.

There are a significant number of opportunities for the accounting graduate in the Chicago, suburban and local areas. Private firms (accounting/ C.P.A. firms, banks, insurance companies, retail and other general business entities) and public/government agencies provide excellent job opportunities for a graduate of our two-year Associate in Applied Science Degree.
Criminal Justice Studies
The Criminal Justice Program gives students a wide variety of career opportunties, including the fields of corrections and human services, courts and law, forensic science, and private security. This program prepares students for both entry level positions as well as prepare students for transfer to a number of senior colleges and universities.
This certificate is designed for student entrepreneurs who want to own their own businesses. It includes basic courses that give a background in accounting, business, and management. The entrepreneurship program will give students the skills they need to be successful in opening a business.

Human resource managers are responsible for overseeing the recruiting, hiring, training, benefit programs, and personnel files of employees. Professionals with human resource expertise are needed at all types and sizes of companies.
Gainful Employment Disclosure
The Law Enforcement program is the only one at JJC designed specifically for in-service officers seeking their education credentials and those intending to pursue careers in policing at the municipal, county, state or federal levels of service. In-service police officers seeking to obtain or improve their formal education, as well as pre-service students intending to seek employment in the field of law enforcement as police officers at the village, municipal, county, state or federal levels, are encouraged to enroll.

The key to success at all companies is good management. Good managers have an understanding of economics, marketing, human resource management, and the legal environment of business. There are unlimited employment opportunities at virtually any private company or public/government agency in the local, suburban or Chicago area. The Supervision program provides the academic and practical background for a successful career in this field.

Private firms (retail, sales, marketing, marketing research companies, banking and finance, manufacturing and other general business entities), public agencies (utility companies) and government agencies provide excellent job opportunities for a graduate of our two-year Associate's in Applied Science Degree in Marketing Management.

Retail is more than just working at a store. Retail managers oversee many aspects of a retail business, from personnel, to marketing, to customer service.
