Lisa Perkins has taught at Joliet Junior College for ten years. She teaches courses in plant pathology, entomology, turfgrass management, plant propagation and plant identification. Ms. Perkins also serves as advisor to students enrolled in the Nursery, Floral, Greenhouse and Turf programs. Placement of students for their supervised occupational experience program is also done by Ms. Perkins.
Ms. Perkins received her Bachelor of Science Degree and Masters Degree from The University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in Ornamental Horticulture. Her work experiences include an internship at the New York Botanical Gardens, work with a wholesale florist and retail florist, and as grounds worker at Cantigny Golf Club, Heritage Bluffs Golf Course and the golf course at The University of Illinois.
