Why Enter the Agriculture Production and Management Program at JJC?
The Agriculture Production and Management Program prepares students for careers in production agriculture. Most graduates are employed full-time in positions such as production managers, herdsmen or other positions dealing directly with the production and management of grain and/or livestock. Placement of graduates has been consistently near 100%.
The Supervised Occupational Experience Program is an integral part of this program and provides students with the opportunity to gain valuable hands-on experience while earning JJC credits as well as being paid a regular salary/wage. Placement is coordinated by JJC Agriculture Staff and each student is visited on-site during the internship period. JJC Agriculture Production and Management students are placed throughout the United States.
Graduates from the Agriculture Production & Management Program typically each have 3-4 full-time positions to choose from upon graduation. Often they will remain with their final placement employer for a permanent full-time position. Starting salaries range from $19,000 - $26,000.
