Purpose: To continue the architectural programming for the Early Childhood Center component of the new Campus Center.

Items Discussed
- Jeff reviewed a preliminary net area summary of the Early Childhood Center based on comments and discussion from the June 2nd meeting. The summary categorizes the various areas into Classroom Space, General Space, Offices/Workstations and Support/Storage. The summary indicates that 5,632 net square feet are required for the requested program areas.
- Jeff also reviewed an area analysis of the existing first floor plan of Building B, including rooms B-1002 and B-1003. The analysis indicates that 4,819 net square feet are currently available on the first floor of Building B. This 4,819 net square feet includes 516 square feet of covered exterior space adjacent to B-1002 and B-1003. This 4,819 square feet is 813 square feet less than the 5,632 square feet indicated in the preliminary area summary above.
- Jeff indicated that the college will have to consider the shortfall summarized in item #2 above with regard to the final space program. As the design of the new Campus Center proceeds adjacent to Building B, Legat Architects will continue to examine same as it relates to access and other considerations as they relate to the Early Childhood Center.
- Bev indicated that she would contact the DCFS regarding the Early Childhood Center as it relates to this upcoming construction project.
