Alumni Board of Directors Committees

Master Plan

• Attend scheduled Master Plan meetings and report back to the board.
• Brainstorm ways the Alumni Association can provide support to the plan.
• Develop ideas on "leaving a legacy" on campus in partnership with the Master Plan.
• Give board members talking points/summary.

Nominating

• Develop, prepare and present a slate of officers candidates to be presented to the full Alumni Board at the April meeting. Schedule and oversee the election of officers by the Board of Directors.
• Promotes and seeks nominations from Joliet Junior College alumni for the Distinguished Alumni Achievement Award and the Susan H. Wood Hall of Fame.
• Selects Distinguished Alumni Achievement awardees based on established criteria.
• Selects Susan H. Wood Hall of Fame awardees based on established criteria.
• Works with the Joliet Junior College Student Alumni Association to recognize their annual Faculty Prestige Award winner at the annual Alumni Brunch held the second Sunday in June.

Ambassadorship/Outreach

• Works to create scholastic community representation opportunities for board members. 
• Organize opportunities for board members to assist JJC with the recruitment of prospective students.
• Helps spread the word that JJC offers a unique student-centered educational environment.
• Utilize our working knowledge of the college and its programs to make us an invaluable resource to the college.

Alumni/Student Association

• Advice on how the Alumni Association can support the club's various events.
• Maintain on-going communication with the club.
• Mentor Students and Alumni United members in leadership and strategic planning.

Student Activity/Event Support

• Provide visible support from the Alumni Association to the current students of JJC.
• Attend student extracurricular activities (sporting events, theatre, music recitals, Brown Bag sessions, etc.)
• Attend on campus student special events (Hispanic Heritage, Black History, etc.)
