Our turn around time is usually the same day for small jobs (up to 75 copies). Larger jobs require more time particularly at peak times such as the beginning and end of semesters. For larger jobs submit originals 2 to 3 days in advance of the time needed. Please note some jobs may require more processing time if you have any questions about printing options, paper selection and availability or time frame please contact the Print Services Center.
3 Hole Punch
Challenge 3 hole punch will punch up to 500 sheets or less of paper at a time. The paper will then fit in a 3 ring binder or folder depending on the size. This is a standard setting. No adjustments. Transparencies or tape bound books cannot be 3-hole punched due to danger in the bits exploding. When using this machine you must follow the instructions that are on the machine.

Booklet Creation
This can be done on the Docu Tech 6115, Xerox 490, and our Xerox Color Fiery. We can take a minimum of 4 sheets of paper (8.5x11 and 11x17) and turn it into a 1 sheet double-sided copy.
Carbonless Paper
You must provide your own carbonless paper, which is compatible with our current machines. All carbonless papers do not work in all machines. Fresh carbonless paper is very important so that it will scratch through, so it will run in the machine and so that it does not take a lot of glue to get it to glue; because of being too old. It is best not to keep carbonless paper for very long before using.
Printed applications such as human resource time off forms, etc., are padded into stacks with the use of an adhesive applied to one edge of a group of sheets. Padding techniques are actually a form of binding, but the resulting set is not intended to remain permanently bound. The padded edge serves only to keep the sheets together until a set has been used and then detached from the set. Carbonless paper is for one sided printing only. You must provide your own carbonless papers compatible with our current machines.

Color Full Bleeds
The Xerox 700 Digital Color Press that operates at 70 pages per minute. The networked Digital press produces cost effective, vivid color prints and can feed 12x18 inch paper (to produce) 11x17 inch/A3 full-bleed tabloid-sized documents.
Comb-Binding
Comb binding is often more expensive than tape binding, also single or double stapling and 3 hole punching is free.
GBC CombBind Machine C800pro punches the standard 19-hole pattern for 11" paper. It will create a book that is not a permanent bind; if you need to add or take out sheets you can go back and do so by taking off the plastic comb and correcting it. It also allows documents to lay flat when opened. This is an approximate guide for choosing plastic comb binding diameter. The best way to choose the diameter is to add 1/8" to the thickness of the book, including the cover. Do not compress book when measuring. This chart is based on 20lb bond.

In-Line Tape Binding
This is a feature in our Docu Tech 6115 that can only be done online and is a permanent bind that can bind between 15 to 125 pages, a little less than 125 with card covers. This is less expensive than comb binding.
Faxing
Please see Print Services staff for complete instructions. Instructions are available on the wall near the machine. The fax number is 815-744-5507. Personal faxes are $1.00 per page plus the call, if long distance.
A work request form will need to be filled out indicating the copies are for personal use to ensure proper billing. Write "personal" in the Pin/Department Code space provided. Personal copies charges are different than for depts.
For personal faxes please complete the sign in sheet with your name and indicate that it is personal. Faxing is only for faculty and staff. Include number of pages to be faxed (include cover sheet if one is used) and the number faxing to. A service charge of $1.00 per page will be added and they cost of any long distance faxes.

Flyers
Flyers are generally a single sheet document printed in one or two colors or in a full color process. Standard sizes for custom flyers are:

Paper Cutter
The Champion paper cutter is designed to digitally program cuts 2 inches to 30.5". We can cut paper to almost any size such as postcards, or full bleeds or if you just need a trim. (Full bleed is printing from edge to edge).
Posters
Posters are a very flexible advertising tool that is intended for viewers on the move. Ask for 11x17 on Expresions paper for color copies.

Reducing and Enlarging Copies
Reducing and enlarging features are offered on all of our Xerox machines. Machines offer ranges as low as 25% to 400% and many also have auto/automatic and custom reduce/enlarge features.
Saddle-Stitching/Folding 8.5x11 and 11x17
Xerox ASF135 will fold your booklet 2 to 20 pages and staple 2 staples centered in the fold, then trim off the right edge to give you a smooth finish. Trimming and stapling is an option. This service is not available online. Print Services can stitch and fold pre-printed materials.

Transparencies
A perfect solution for overhead presentations, overlays and more. Specifically formulated with a removable white strip for protection from heat, rough handling and humidity. This is used for all copier/printers on campus. You must provide your own transparancies,
Shrink-Wrapping
Our machine is a manually operated shrink wrapping machine for use with PVC or polyolefin shrink films. It is primarily used for protecting color copies that are sent through inner office mail.
