Audio and Video Transfers and Duplication
Audio Transfers and Duplication of analog or digital sources
JJC Media Services can perform the following audio format transfers: Cassette tapes to CD; CD to CD; Digital Audio Files to CD; CD to cassette. We also offer duplication services for both CD and cassette tapes. Customized artwork and CD labels may also be requested. All duplication and transfer work is subject to federal copyright laws.
Video Transfers, Duplication, and Transcoding
JJC Media Services can perform the following video format transfers: Mini DV, VHS, or SVHS to DVD. Additionally, Media Services can transcode video for DVD, multimedia, or streaming applications. We also offer duplication services for DVD and VHS sources. All duplication and transfer work is subject to federal copyright laws.

Laminating
Laminating is used to preserve most types of paper products up to 26 inch in width.
Signs
If you are looking for effective signage for an internal event please complete a sign request form. We would like 1 to 2 weeks advance notice if possible.
Business Cards
If you need business cards you will need to complete the business card request form (PDF).

The Media Studio
The Media Studio (J-3011) is a shared, multipurpose room that is used by Media staff for video/audio production and portrait photography. It is also available to the campus community for use as conference space or as a viewing area for teleconferences, DVDs, or multimedia presentations. Maximum capacity is 20-25 people.
Amenities offered include:
- PC with DVD drive
- Data Projector
- DVD/VHS combo unit
- Audio Sound System
- Screen
- Clear One Wireless Conference Phone (available upon request)

Media Production
Audio Production (Analog Direct to Digital) on location or in studio
JJC Media Services can record audio live on location or in our studio. Some examples of location recording include class lectures, student presentations, meetings, concerts, workshops, seminars, and guest speakers. All requests for on location audio recording should be made by the department responsible for arranging the event, and we must have permission from the talent involved in advance.

Video Production (Mini DV, SVHS, or VHS) on location or in studio
JJC Media Services can record video live on location or in our studio. Some examples of location recording include class lectures, student presentations, meetings, concerts, workshops, seminars, and guest speakers. Video productions can be as simple as a one camera shoot for basic documentation purposes or as complex as a multi-camera shoot mixed live or requiring post production. All requests for on location video recordings should be made by the department responsible for arranging the event, and we must have permission from the talent involved in advance.

Video Post Production and Editing
JJC Media Services offers post production and editing for video and audio projects. Pre-recorded audio and video projects can be edited, enhanced with graphics and titles, and transcoded to various formats for streaming or multimedia and DVD authoring. Please call in advance to arrange an editing session and allow a minimum of 2 to 4 weeks for completion of post production work.
Live Sound Reinforcement
JJC Media Services can provide live sound support for spoken word events on campus. This includes guest speakers, seminars, workshops, etc. However, due to the limitations of our current PA system, we are unable to provide sound for live bands in most situations.

Off-Air Taping
Media Services can record television programs to be replayed in the classroom. View our current cable TV station listing to find out what stations are available. If you wish to request an off-air taping, please email us at media@jjc.edu.

Photography
The following photographic services are available through Media:
- Digital photography of JJC related events
- Digital printing
- Digital scanning of negatives, slides, books and prints
- CD image archiving
- Film and slide processing sent out
Location Photography
We can shoot photographs on location to document special events or college promotions. Contact us as far in advance as possible to schedule a date and time.
Studio
Portrait and product photography is available in digital format (black and white or color). Email media@jjc.edu to schedule an appointment.
Copy Photography
Artwork, photographs or pictures from books can be scanned into digital images which can be archived on a CD.
Film Processing
All film is processed at a local photography store. Please allow a couple of weeks for enlargements or slides.

Satellite Teleconferences
We can downlink most C-Band satellite teleconferences. In order to serve you better, please inform us of your satellite coordinates in advance so we can determine the satellite availability. Your program can be recorded, or viewed live in our Media Studio (J-3011) or in some classrooms (Main Campus only). A blank VHS tape must be provided to Media Services in order for us to record your program.
